School can be a daunting place for children with learning difficulties. Although teachers and administrators try to reach children where they are, it can sometimes be difficult to spot certain differences and serve them best.

The researchers could take another step towards discovering the brain mechanisms associated with learning difficulties, which is good news. because teaching these children can help.

The breakthrough came at Cambridge University, where researchers examined the scans of almost 500 children. The results showed that it was not the different parts of the brain that seemed to be the problem, but the connections between these centers.

The researchers told BBC News that they had spent years trying to figure out the part of the brain that is responsible for diseases like dyslexia and ADHD. However, new ideas show that it is not a specific section, but that the way the regions are connected makes a difference.

Although the results illustrate a connection, they also show that two children with the same problem, e.g. B. ADHD, may have a brain that works differently. That way, it could mean that there is still a lot to do to find out how to help these children.

The researchers said that people should focus less on a particular diagnosis than on developing a wide range of interventions that can help children. You can choose from a large list of options to find out what works this way for a particular child.

The lead investigator pointed out that the "label" was not the answer and that we could no longer agree. Children with ADHD and other difficulties may find it harder to figure out how to use their strengths, but they still have them. It is up to teachers and parents to understand that while their brain connections can be compromised, it is even more important to work towards a human connection so that they know that they are special and loved.

This study is just another example of how complex our brains are and how we can all be unique. The answer is not in one day, but in the connection.
