TRI-CITIES, WA - Knowing the signs of learning difficulties in children can lead to early detection.
In the previous video, Dr. Scott D. Grewe, pediatric neuropsychologist at Sageview Youth Psychology, what parents should look out for in their children.
According to Dr. Grewe belong to the red flags:
Family history of learning problems Delay or difficulties in school progress not every year Late development: ie problems with language or pronunciation
If parents suspect that their child has a learning disability, Dr. recommends Grewe the following steps:
Contact your child's school district - speak to your teachers / administrators, request a learning assessment. Contact your family doctor or pediatrician. Discuss an action plan that will help your child's private psychologist for additional help
